Epoxy resin projects require precise measurement of both resin and hardener components. Getting the ratio wrong can result in a sticky surface that never fully cures or a brittle finish. This calculator determines the exact amount needed for your project dimensions and adds a 10% waste factor.

Most tabletop epoxies use a 1:1 volume ratio (equal parts resin and hardener), while deep-pour and casting epoxies often use a 2:1 ratio (2 parts resin to 1 part hardener). Always check your product label for the correct mixing ratio.

For thin coatings (1/8 inch or less), tabletop epoxy is appropriate. For pours deeper than 1/4 inch, use a deep-pour casting resin that generates less heat during curing. Deep pours should be done in layers to prevent cracking from excessive exothermic heat.
